Ideas to show appreciation to hubby

Hi everyone! My husband has been absolutely wonderful during my recovery! I'm truly blessed to have him and I would not make it through this without him. He has cooked, cleaning, washed, everything. He refused to let me drive even though I have been cleared by the doctor. He drives me everywhere, unless I beg him to let me drive. He took me on a business trip with him because he didn't want me to be alone at home. My aunt is in the hospital and I wanted to see her; he took me to the hospital to see her and stayed as long as I wanted to visit with her without complaining. He took the cake today when my parents called to say my dad was in excruciating pain and needed to go to the ER. My husband drove us to the hospital, when the nurse called my dad back, my husband got up to go to the room with my dad! My husband literally goes above and beyond! I was telling his today how awesome he is and he made a comment that it's about time he gets some recognition and he started laughing (he has a sense of humor) but it made me think that he really does deserve something special for being "the man!" Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to show my special honey that he is truly appreciated? Can't be intimate for a few more weeks but honestly, he deserves so much more than that? Any ideas? Thanks!

I love this idea and was thinking the same thing. My husband took the week off from work and has been my ROCK through all of this. Going to doctor appointments and finding out way more about the female anatomy than I'm sure he really cared to know! Being there holding my hand while in pre-op! He just never waivered from my decision to get this done finally and was totally supportive and all for it, recuperation time and all.

I plan on getting him a card and writing him a love letter of sorts! I am going to make his favorite meal (homemade lasagna) in a few weeks when I can drive!

I have been thanking him repeatedly and trying not be too much of a pain in the butt!

I have been thinking the same thing! My partner has been absolutely amazing and I really need to find a way to thank him other than saying it a hundred times a day. I found a great present to get him but it's not going to be released until November! I haven't come up with anything else so hopefully we'll both get some good ideas!

Hi, just a few suggestions.. Maybe plan a weekend get away for when you're feeling stronger.. or a vacation. Or, a massage, then later go out for a nice dinner. Golf? Tickets to a game? Concert? Show? I dont know what is near you, but off to the beach? Las Vegas? Consider if he needs time with his friends or relaxing time with you..

My husband is my best friend. He was with me out of town when my mom passed away & at the funeral-right before my surgery. He stayed with me at the hospital & took off from work for a week, then worked at home. He handled everything. I feel bad bc his work contract ended early & hes now out of work. So as stressful as things have been, we'll have to wait for vacation...
