Kept ovaries, 7 days post hysterectomy, will I need hrt? Feeling emotional and having Pms symptoms...

Hi girls..
Just wondering if I would still need some sort of hrt even though I kept my ovaries..
I had my uterus, cervix and tubes removed.. Was hoping I wouldn't because I saved my ovaries...
I do feel emotional and my breasts are very tender , I'm 9'days post-op... Is this the beginning of a hormonal imbalance ?

Your symptoms are not unusual at this point in your recovery. It is way too soon to know what the ovaries are going to do. You need to give the ovaries some time to wake back up. Only time will tell the outcome.

I had the same issue but with hot flashes too. Dr put me on estradiol 1mg and what a difference after taking for two days. Dr said it can take about a month for my ovaries to work.
