feel like i gonna have a nervous breakdown

I am three months post op and I have said that this is the best decision I have ever made ...to have this hysterectomy. I have noticed lately (as well as my spouse) that I am having tremendous mood swings. It has caused severe havic in my relationship to the point we are considering splitting up. I don't know what to do ...I feel like I am ready to have a nervous break down. I don't understand these mood swings as I don't believe that I am in menopause as I still have my ovaries ... I just turned 42 and feel my life is over. I am also stressed a bout the twenty pounds I put on... Anyone else having similar concerns and please tell what to do.

It's still possible your estrogen is low even with your ovaries. Sometimes they don't fully function after hysterectomy. Please call your doctor and see if you can get some samples to try

Call doc and ask for help. Sounds like levels aren't quite right. This is a difficult time, but it will pass. Hopefully your significant other will help you brave the storm

I am 41, just had my hyster in December. I too kept my ovaries. I have some noticed a few changes in my moods as well. Today I felt sad. On Sunday I was really outspoken and confrontational at church! I'm almost scared to go back. It's almost somebody else has a has taken over my body, weird. But, I said all that to say this. I wouldn't make any big decisions like splitting up with your spouse or anything while we are in this state! We aren't quite ourselves yet, hang in there, it's got to get better!
