feel good one minute and worn out the next

I got home on Sunday, and felt better good. Just sore, I stayed down all day. Monday morning I got up and felt great. I strolled around the house and rested know and then, but by 10:00 I was wiped out. Tuesday was about the same. This morning I got up at 7:30 after a full night sleep. Felt really good, took a shower and ate breakfast and helped my children work on some of their school work. It is now 9:30 and I am so tired. We go later today to have the staples removed.
How long does this last.

Also I feel like my stomach is going to pull apart sometimes it gets so swollen. Dr. has assured me that this will not happen.

I am glad to be home and am looking forward to getting back on my feet.

Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers.

It's been less than a week and personally, I think you're doing great. My first week I practically lived in bed. I got up to get a drink, go potty, take a quick shower (I bet I hold the record on quick showers ) and that was it. Give it time. The first couple of weeks EVERYTHING wore me out. Heck, I still get wore out just grocery shopping and stuff. Just rest when you feel that way. Good luck and I hope you keep doing better and better.

I felt a big improvement between the first and second week. First week I was pretty much doing nothing but reading and watching TV and sleeping.

Then you may see a few days no improvement and then improvement again. This is how it's been with me. I'm almost 3 weeks and the energy is starting to come back. Just take it easy and have some patience. You will start to feel better soon.

I am 5 weeks post op TAH and still have fatigue issues. I find that one day I feel great and I do some of the things I want to do (within my restrictions) and then I have other days that I sleep all day. Listen to your body and if you are tired and sore then rest. It gets better each week and my good days are now outnumbering the bad ones by far but I still do get tired very easily. Grocery shopping is something that tires me out big time. I am lucky to have a wonderful DH that still carries most of the load of shopping and household chores. Take it easy and rest, you are still very early in your recovery.
