Talk about a pain in the butt....

Because I just don't have enough going on in the FRONT of my body, I had to go pull my gluteus maximus

I was getting out of my recliner yesterday, and rather than use the hand lever to lock the leg rest in place, I decided to just kick backwards as I got up. Bad, bad, bad idea for anyone who hasn't used their leg muscles at full capacity for over 2 weeks.

This really hurts. I'm back to working a couple hours a day this week, and I've been walking around with my hand on my butt all day. Everyone was saying "I thought you had abdominal surgery" And my response has been.. yes, and now I've broken my ***

On the upside, I think this seepy incision of mine is finally drying up. Only a teeny spot of blood today on the gauze pad

OHH I am so sorry.... That *****... But good news on the incision... Hopefully things will be better soon..

I did almost the same thing. The dumbest thing I ever did. I was getting off the couch from the laying down position. I had just dialed a friend so had the phone to my ear when I decided to kick myself up off the couch. I was in so much pain I had to hang up cause I couldn't talk other than to say "oh my gosh" over and over. I pulled a muscle also at the very top of my right thigh. I was limping with pain that would shoot down to my knee for at least 3 days. When it happened I felt like someone stabbed me with a knife. SOOO PAINFUL! I was just glad (as far as I know) that I didn't tear something or start bleeding. We really have to be careful to get up slowly even when we are feeling better.
