anyone else scheduled soon? feeling edgy...

Hi ladies,

The worst part is the waiting! I had my TAH-BSO on 1/20/04, just 2+ weeks post op now. I was a nervous wreck before my surgery. I couldn't eat and almost had a huge panic attack a couple of days before. But, I made it through everything just fine. As soon as the "A" man gave me the "cocktail" in my IV, I was gone. Didn't remember much of anything until they moved me to my room. I had the PCA pump and the On-Q pain management and can say I had minimal pain and discomfort. They had me up walking 12 hours after surgery and I was home in 2 days. Only used pain meds the 1st 24 hours after I got home. My recovery has been great and I feel good! I'm using the Climara .1mg patch and so far that seems to be working well.

Everyone is different, but it seems we manage to make it through. I just hope everything goes well with all you LIW and you all have a speedy and complete recovery with no complications! We'll see you on the post-op side very soon.
