NO CANCER but Endometritis?
My biopsy results came back with no cancer just a chronic inflammation/infection called endometritis. That was a call from my nurse. All she told me was about the inflammation, called in a prescription and told me I need to come back in 6 weeks for another EMB.
But I still have fibroids. And pain. And heavy bleeding/clots that's been going on for several years. I had an EMB 2 years ago and there was no sign of infection then but there was heavy bleeding, clots and dysmenorrhea. There was also no sign of fibroids back then either.
Can someone have a chronic infection/inflammation for *years* and not know it? Could it have been missed on the prior EMB? Is hysterectomy still an option for me? Will the antibiotics stop the heavy bleeding
I've been given no option to come in and talk directly to my gyn for more information. I'm just getting these dribs and drabs piecemeal and it's not enough. I'm really not happy with the communication from this Dr's office. Should I keep calling the nurse with all these questions? I haven't even been given the "call us if you have any questions" speech.
I can't shake the feeling that something else is wrong. That this just isn't an infection. But due to FMS and the 2 years it took to even get someone to take my FMS pain seriously, I've had several really bad experiences with Dr's and Nurse Practitioners that left me with the distinct feeling that they jsut wanted me to "shut up and go away, your pain is all in your head" so I'm hesitant to push for more communication.
I'm feeling lost here. I thought I'd feel some overwhelming sense of relief at the "no cancer - endometritis" dx but I don't. I feel more lost than I did before. Am I just supposed to shut up, take my pills, go in for another EMB in 6 weeks and then suffer another interminable wait for results?
Oh and apparently my gyn won't prescribe anything for the constant pain that's been parked at 6-7 for the past 2 months. 800mgs ibuprofen taken with 1000 mgs tylenol gives me a couple of hours of so-so relief.
I really don't know what to do here.
