Swelly Belly wrap &/or abdominal wrap Users?
Has anyone used the swelly belly wrap or the abdominal wrap that is in the store? I'm trying to figure out the real difference in them - I think one can be wet and the other is for support - but I'd like to hear from someone who has used them and what their thoughts are on them.
Any chance they make the swelly belly go down a bit faster by chance???? What experiences have others had?

Re: Swelly Belly wrap &/or abdominal wrap Users?
I don't have any experience with the abdominal binders or belly bands. However, I am interested too, to see if they make a difference. Right after my surgery, my tummy was so swollen, but whenever I walked it felt like it was jiggling. Not a good feeling! At first I couldn't handle anything touching the incision. Lately, I have been bummed with the swelling that I still have. I tried some of those girdle type undies, but they are still very uncomfortable. I had a tummy before, but it was never this big! I hate this thing, and can't wait until it goes back to what it was before those dang fibroids decided to rear their ugly heads!

I bought abdomen wrap.
It really helped keep everything from giggling and gave alot of support.
I even wore it the first few weeks back to work.
I did not get the swelly belly binder.
Hope this helps.

:thismuch:
I LOVE my bellyband from the hyster store! At times I wish I had two so that one was always in the fridge.
It has gel in it that cools the swollen belly, and it is very effective! I can't imagine coping without it. I didnt get the ab band because my trainer tells me it makes the ab muscles lazy. It provides support much like a panty girdle.
My advice? Buy two swelly belly bands!

I really loved the belly band. It felt so nice to have the support. I got really tired of having to "carry" my belly in my hands those first weeks. It helped me when I had to do alot of walking out and about, especially when my back was bothering me.

Re: Swelly Belly wrap &/or abdominal wrap Users?
Hi,
I had a TLH and decided to buy the value package with the swelly belly and ab binder. The Swelly Belly was wonderful, I got it at around 2 weeks post op and wished I had it right after being discharged from the hospital. The Ab binder I never used just b/c I didn't need the support, and returned it to the store. I'd definitely get one! Good luck.

Re: Swelly Belly wrap &/or abdominal wrap Users?
I just got the abdominal wrap today and I love it. I am 18 days post op for a TAH and It definitely makes me feel supported, especially on days when I feel like everything is going to fall out the other end. Well good luck!
