TAH Femoral Nerve Damage after Total Abdominal Hysterectomy

It will be one month post op on Jan 15. I am recovering as expected from TAH. However, soon after surgery, I could not feel my right leg or control it. I was diagnosed with having a femoral nerve damage. I have had 5 appts with several physical therapist since checking out of the hospital. And continue to do the recommended exercises on my own. Although I have had major improvements...no longer need a walker and can walk on my own, I still have tingling or numbness from my mid-thigh to mid-calf and pain when I stretch my leg or try to squat down. I felt fine walking on my own all last week for about 2-3 weeks now but for some reason this week, my leg is buckling again and I have fallen on a couple of random occasions. So now, I don't feel comfortable walking on my own and rely on a cane to avoid falling. I have seen a huge improvement on my leg but I am NOT back to my normal or not 100% yet. Just wondering if anyone has fully recovered from femoral nerve damage? If so, how did it take and what remedies did you take to get your leg feeling back to normal?
