Need to vent... Don't know what to do

Can you all even imagine what we would go through if our DH's had this happen to them! UGH!!! lol
WE don't sit and whine.....but they do.
WE don't make irritating noises...just to get MORE attention....they do.
WE don't watch for someone to enter the room and then put on a pity party....they do.
They are bad enough with a COMMON COLD! LOL
I laugh at my Hubby when he does that....and he knows it and tells me to leave him alone. LOL
If they can make ANYTHING worse than it is.......they will.
The bad thing is some of these men don't think about their wives when they are REALLY down!
I am so sorry for what you fellow Princesses are dealing with. I am soooo glad you found the Hyster Sisters to help you!!!!!
BIG HUGS!!

Need to vent... Don't know what to do

Nancy, I am so sorry about how your family is acting. I am not married nor in a relationship, so I really don't have any advice for you, just wanted to tell you I was thinking about you and I hope you can find some help.

Autumn Moon: THANKS for the link to pelvic floor. I have beaten myself up a few times about how slow I am healing, and now after SEEING this procedure now wonder it hurts! I get it now! My gyno kept shaking my head at me when I was in the hospital because I kept telling him "Its JUST a vaginal hysterectomy, it shouldn't be like this" He kept telling me me that it was still major surgery and he had to do a heck of lot of cutting to get things out (apparently my body was being stubborn - gee MY body? surprise surpsie)

So thank you so much! Now I will quit beating myself up about how long this healing thing is taking!

It's an extreme suggestion, but one sure solution is for your DH to have quadruple bypass/open-heart surgery before your hysterectomy!

My DH had his three years ago and wasn't even allow to lift anything as heavy as a gallon jug of milk for 3 mos. His recovery pain and incision were so bad that he "gets it" about why I can't do anything now. He has been wonderful. Granted, he doesn't hover over me like I did with him, but I think that my attentiveness might have been annoying to him back then. On the other hand, I'm okay with being helpless (as long as someone else will take care of me) and he's not. But it really helps that he's been through a similar, or even worse surgery. I hope your DH gets some empathy and quick, you deserve good care.

Need to vent... Don't know what to do

I am amazed at how inconsiderate some husbands/significant others can be! My DH is extreme in the other way; I snuck down the stairs the other day, made it to the second to the bottom stair when I heard him shriek, "KIDS, DID YOUR MOM JUST GO DOWN THOSE STAIRS?" He ran all the way to me and was trying to convince me to go back upstairs (I only had 1 more step). I tried to convince him that it is okay to do some stairs per Dr. but he doesn't believe me. If he had his way I would lay in bed all day long and he would cater to my every whim (when he gets home of course). I do appreciate his loving concern but he gets annoying sometimes, especially when I am not overdoing it. I was having horrible gas pains at wal-mart last night and told him that I needed to walk them out and he kept insisting that I was walking too much....oh well. Nancy, I really hope that your DH and family realizes that you need their unconditional love and help right now. Take Care! Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
