New hysterectomy date - 27th September

Hi everyone, so I got my new surgery date today.. it's all happening on the 27th September, hopefully it doesn't get cancelled again!

I saw you marked endo/adeno on your survey.

While I never had either, please know that a hysterectomy will not cure endo. Nor will removing your ovaries. You need an expert to remove the disease. Here are articles that discuss this:

I am sure you know you are very young to be having this surgery at 24, and very young to be losing your ovaries. You may want to consider alternate opinions on having this surgery. You may have other options. You need to consider the pros and cons of this surgery with your current health condition.

Whatever you do, make the right decision for you.

Thanks for advice it's much appreciated :-) I have adenomyosis and my gynecologist suggested I have a hysterectomy as I've had 3 abnormal pap smears and abnormal tissue. I had tubal ligation last year with ablation but I still bleed every 2 weeks! I had 3 c-sections and my last on th surgeon said my uterus was really "tired". I'm.hoping to.keep my ovaries!

I hope you get to keep your ovaries too!
