in a panic!!!

Sisters,

My surgery is supposed to be in mid August but that may change. Last week I started feeling like I had a kidney infection, so I gave it a week and couldn't take it anymore. I went to my PCM yesterday and I don't have a kidney infection. All my blood work was good, good liver, kidneys, galbladder, etc.

I have three cyst on the right side and that is the side that hurts. The dr. said he thinks I have a cyst that is leaking into the empty pocket by the kidney and he felt muscle spazams deep in my ribcage.

My delima is my dh is in the Marine Corp and I have been sent to a dr out in town (and he is a client so I know him) because my platelets fall too low for surgery at our small hospital. If I go to the ER I will be put back in the Naval medicine system which is fine except the gyno there is leaving in August. So, if my platelets are up, the Navy will do the surgery and soon after that dr will leave. Then I will have two schools of thought on my hrt.

If I can hold on, I can see my civilian dr on Tuesday. I am worried about the poison leaking and I am not ready for surgery. I excepted my August date, I haven't shampooed the carpets yet, and all kinds of things.

What would all of you do?

Thanks,

k9

in a panic!!!

Can you call your civilian doc's answering service and have him return your call? Maybe he can give you medical advice on what you should do....wait or go in ASAP. He may also be able to give you something for pain.

Please let us know what happens.

Wow, that's a tough choice, one I'm sorry to hear you have to make like this. However, if it were me I would do what Cat has suggested first then I would find out what complications you may face if you wait. You should also take into consideration what could happen if at some point one or more of these cysts burst. Take it from me, that is not something you want to experience. Check into all your options and then you can make an informed decision.
