6 wks and cramping and spotting

My gyn gave me a good check up at 4 weeks, and treated one place with silver nitrate. Then at 5 weeks I started having lower pelvic abdominal pain and UTI symptoms. I went in Monday to have a urine check. It was negative. Doc did pelvic exam and said I was getting a stitches infection. I have no fever. I have been on antibiotic a full 3 days (out of seven) but still have the same pain. Also, I have a slight discharge - varying from yellow, to gray to brown. Anyone else have an infection this far away from surgery?

It's very frustating when things are suppose to be getting better and there's a setback. Things will get better.

AT my 2nd week I had chills, low grade temp, then 101.2. I also had increase belly tenderness. My doc started me on levaquin for a week. I still have some belly tenderness but feel better,and no chills and fever.

I was scared. My doctor explained that it's easy to develop local inflammation and infection as there are alot of bacteria down there. Prior to my surgery I had a betadine douche in the pre-op area.

It sounds like the antibiotics are helping. Do you mind me asking which antibiotic he prescribed? A heating pad to my belly helped the pain. I will keep you inmy thoughts and prayers. Get better soon.
