Not Sure If This Is Normal

I'M ALMOST 5 WEEKS POST-OP FROM TAH...PROBLEM IS I'VE BEEN HAVING SHARP STABBING TYPE PAINS IN MY RIGHT SIDE (not all the time, they come & go) ~ SOMETIMES THE PAIN WILL ALSO AFFECT THE BELLYBUTTON AREA & SPREAD TOWARDS MY BACK AS WELL...I'M NOT HAVING ANY DISCHARGE OR BLEEDING...I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH BOWEL MOVEMENTS OR GAS SINCE 1 WEEK POST-OP...HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM??? DO YOU THINK IT'S SOMETHING I SHOULD BE WORRYING ABOUT??? I HAVE ANOTHER APPT W/DR ON MONDAY 8/21...I DON'T WANT TO CALL HER & BOTHER HER BEFORE THEN IF I DON'T HAVE TO...

I'VE BEEN FOLLOWING DR'S ORDERS TO THE TEE...
I'VE ONLY BEEN DOING LIGHT WORK (DISHES & COOKING) ~ MY HUBBY & KIDS WON'T LET ME MOVE FORWARD WITH OTHER HOUSEWORK ~ DARN!!! (lol) I ALSO TAKE A WALK EACH MORNING WITH MY HUBBY WHEN HE GETS HOME FROM WORK...

Not Sure If This Is Normal

Hi Kayce,

I also have had pains here and there. I would have severe pain when I sneezed like a hernia was going to pop out of my side. The dr. said it would go away and sure enough, it did after a couple of weeks.

Now I am having pains and soreness, I think it is because the nerve endings are starting to work again. Hopefully this too will pass.

I would definately keep checking with your dr. My dr. was pretty accurate with my symptoms.

Hope you fell better soon!

Not Sure If This Is Normal

You know how they say that when you have an amputation, you have "phantom" pain in the non-existant limb? I swear I had phantom ovarian pain on one side.
