How long do gas pains last?

I know what you mean about everything feeling weird inside. I just kept thinking that all my organs had to readjust to fill up the space my uterus and right ovary left (my uterus was the size of a 26 week pregnancy). I lived on chicken noodle soup, applesauce and yogurt for the first week.

Hope things start feeling better.

How long do gas pains last?

I had laprascopic surgery and I was out of pain after two weeks. The pain from the CO2 that moves in your shoulder was gone for me somewhere between one week and 10 days. It has to absorb out...at least that is what the nurse told me.

I noticed I have a noticeable improvement every week since surgery. I am past week four now.

To help your digestive system....phazyme or gas x (simethicone), walking, drink water, small meals more often rather than large meals three times a day, preparation H (you will need it soon from constipation), colace is a stool softener but only take one a day, stay away from laxatives because they are habit forming. I only needed Colace while I was going off pain killers from 7 to 10 days post op. Get off pain killers and on Tylenol over the counter as soon as you can. Pain killers cause constipation.

Also look for signs of bladder infection and yeast infections. I got a bladder infection from the catheter....no burning but my bladder was holding the urine even though I had an urgency to go. Also because I have to take antibiotics I believe I have the beginning of a yeast infection which I am calling my doctor about. Vagisil cream for the outside skin has helped me get through the new year holiday until my doctor's office opens. I don't want to insert Monistat or another yeast fighting product without my doctor's ok.

I have fatigue now and have to go to bed earlier than usual. I think I slept about 12 hours last night.....I usually only sleep 7 hours.

Hope you feel better soon.

How long do gas pains last?

I am 8 weeks & the gas pains are still the worst part. My belly swells each night too. I am sure it will keep getting better though.
