Tummy Binder?

I am probably asking too late (surgery is tomorrow) but how helpful was a tummy binder if you had a Davinci?

My OB says its not neccessary.

Thanks!

Re: Tummy Binder?

I had a TLH and started wearing mine 2 weeks after surgery. I ordered it from the store here and I got the regular binder (no pockets). It was really fast service. I ordered it on a Wed. afternoon and received it Sat. morning. I like it alot and wear it during the day when I'm up and about and moving around. It makes my belly feel more secure and protected. It's got a velcro closing so you can make it as snug as you want to. I wear on top of my underwear. I'm glad I got it.

Best wishes to you for a successful surgery and easy recovery. I'll see you on the Post Op board. Sweet dreams!

Re: Tummy Binder?

No binder needed here! I had a LSH, a minimally invasive procedure like the DaVinci, and was fine without it. A pillow came in handy if I coughed the first couple days.

Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.
