What is a girl to do

Here is a good one for what to do with the "left overs"

About 5 or 6 days after I got home from the castle, my hubbie thought I should come out and get some fresh air, so he was heading out to build a fire in the fire pit me that evening. I said "Wait, I have the perfect thing for kindling" I went to the bathroom, gathered up all the tampons and pads that were within my reach and we had the "Ceremonial Burning of The Pads" that night. If I could have, I would have jumped up and down and hooted and hollered that night.

Here is one of those funny moments that happened the other day...

Here in Milwaukee, WI, USBank (formerly Firstar Bank) always puts on a HUGE fireworks display down at Lake Michigan. It's a big to do, and people start staking ot their spots for tents and families around 4:30AM. Usually about 200-500,000 people come down. DH goes down every year around 6am to stake our claim, and the kids and I follow around 3-5 in the afternoon. Since I was in no way capable of walking 2-3 miles from where we would need to park the car, my MIL dropped me off a block from DH and she parked and walked back with the kids. After a spectacular display of fireworks, DH and I were home and just about to fall asleep when I started just hysterically laughing. DH thought I had really gone off the deep end, but politely asked what I was laughing at. I told him. "It was so nice of USBank to throw me such a HUGE 1 month anniversary party, and that I had not even realized I had gone my first month w/o a visit from Aunt Flo" He started laughing with me, which brought our 15 yr. old son in to see what was going on. He thought it was funny to, but just gave me the "Yeeaaaaahhh" look and left us to die laughing alone.

It was so nice to be able to not have to worry about if Auntie was coming to visit for this or not, and for once, I never gave it a thought.

So for those Ladies In Waiting, there truely is life after all of this!!

Hi Chris

Thanks for sharing those cute moments with us. There is pleasure when you find out that Aunt Flo is not coming to visit and won't for ever. I remember my first month and I waited trying to decide if she would be there or not. Of course she never showed as my DR said It can't happen. Good use of kindling. God Bless and hope you have many more of those special moments.
