Re: Wondering when this glue is suppose to come off

Hi! Mine took about 2 weeks to come off. I just let mine wear off after showering or cleaning the incision. It was when it comes off and takes some hair with it. Ouch! Oh, I had the classic hip to hip incision for my tah. So I had alot of glue!

Re: Wondering when this glue is suppose to come off

I had davinci so I only had 4 small incisions. My glue came off after about 2 weeks. It didn't come off all at one time though. It just kind of peeled off a little at a time. I just let it do that as my doctor said the longer it stayed the better the scar would look.

Wondering when this glue is suppose to come off

Mine completely came off @ the end of the 3rd wk. After I showered, I'd apply Neosporin ointment or Shea butter around the edges of the glue as it was peeling to aid in the scar's healing.

Re: Wondering when this glue is suppose to come off

My first one came off around 2 weeks, followed by two others coming off within days of each other around week 3, and the slow poke was my belly button which came off the day before my 4 week follow up. I don't remember mine being sticky in fact they were getting really dry and catching on my clothes. The belly button one was most annoying because it kept poking me! It won't be long before they're gone! Best wishes

Re: Wondering when this glue is suppose to come off

At my 2 1/2 week post op the surgeon told me to just let it come off by itself.

Re: Wondering when this glue is suppose to come off

My doctor pulled off what he could at my 2 week post op. He laughed that it was even still there. He said if it were him he'd have already pulled it off. He assured me I wouldn't hurt anything by pulling it off. After I got home I got all the glue off and I felt so much better.
