4th week after my hysterectomy.... lower back pain

It's been 4 weeks since my surgery, and I been having the worst lower back pain. What's causing this pain? Can anyone give me advice?

At least part of the cause may be that your back isn't getting as much support from your abdominal muscles as it usually does.

I agree with the poster above. I am finding that I'm having a hard time controlling my anterior pelvic tilt with my abs being temporarily weakened from surgery. To correct this, stretch your quads and hip flexors and strengthen your glutes and abs.

I experienced the same. Sitting upright for extended periods of time would make my back hurt for those first weeks.

Stretching on the floor helped, maybe placing a foam roller or tennis ball underneath my back, and a heating pad where it hurt while I was reclining.
