fistula- Questions

I am coming up on nine months since post op. Since day one I have been having a watery discharge. I told my surgeon about at my two week appt. he didn't really say anything about it. My primary did a test for yeast or other infections back in February and it came back normal. In May I was still having it so he sent to see a urologist. She had me do the blue dye but with out a tampon just a pad and no blue on the pad she just said I need to see a gyneno.

My undies are always damp to wet and to me they have a slight smell of urine and same like I get wetter after I urinate and I know I have wiped good and I am dry.

My primary is sending to a new gynecologist. My appointment is not until 9-12.

I put a tampon in today and had it for a couple of hours and I urinated twice and the tampon came out soaked.

Possible fistula????

It is possible it is a fistula or you just leak slightly since your surgery. You might want to see a urogynecologist instead of a gyn.

I was having leakage starting 2 weeks after my surgery. It didn't seem to be stress incontinance, so I asked about possible fistula. My doctor ordered a procedure where they insert a dye into your bladder and then do x-rays. Unfortunately it did show a fistula.
Keep asking questions until you get answers. You know your body and you know that something isn't right.

I went and a box of azo that makes your urine turn orange.

I took one pill this morning and put a tampon in and it turned orange.

Is that a sign of a fistula? I am not comfortable going back to my surgeon so my primary has refred me to a new gyn. I do not see until 9/12.

I need see a urologist back in May and she give me some blue pills but she had me use a pad and it didn't turn blue and she said go back to my gyno.

It makes me mad if I do have one. I told my surgeon about having a watery discharge and didn't responed so I thought it was part my healing that was at my first post op appointment.
