Oh My... rough night
As the time gets near i feel very anxious. I have a bit of a cold more congestion then anything and idont have a fever.
I couldnt sleep very good, i am so worried. Part of me says maybe i can live with the heavy and irregular periods and pain, and the other says i cnat wait till all this is done.
When i had a lap/ d.c. last april the doctor said it looked ok maybe a little bit of fluid in a cul-de-sac. After i had the D.C for two months my periods were ok, but after that it went back to the old way.
It sure makes me wonder, i had two misscarriages before i was able to have a child when i did have my first child ihad to take Provera the whole nine months , anyone have to do that i was wondering. Also after ihad my second child when the placenta was removed there was many small cysts on the placenta they took it for testing and all i was told was benign. A year later i went and got my tubes tied with a clip biggest mistake i ever made, i had heavy periods with clots and pain and when i ovulated it was real painful for more than a day or two. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem. I guess becuase so anxious i am trying to find if this is the answer. My husband and family say it is the answer to have a hyst with all the problems i have had. my husband says that when all is done and the recovery he says i will feel alot better. I somewhat agree but i am just scared, what if something goes wrong. And to top it all all off i have been trying to cut down on the smoking with no success. I also found out that the hospital will give patches if needed so that is reassuring. thanks

The decision whether to have the hyst or not is your decision to make and I can only offer support to what you decide to do. I can tell you how it was with me.
I've had a D&C and tubal ligation before also (and 2 c-sections & hysteroscopy). Like you, my periods became the same way after all of this. My opinion is that D&Cs are only temporary and then things go back to like they were before or worse. I was diagnosed with adenomyosis, which is like endometriosis, and it is believed that it is caused mainly from instrumentation into the uterus. So, I'm sure the procedures I had done there were what caused it.
I am so glad to have had my hyst!!! Quality of life for me is definitely better without all that pain and heavy bleeding with large clots.
Good luck with what you decide to do and let us know.
s,
Pam

my thoughts and prayers
are with you, Shel. You wouldn't believe how alike our lives are! I lost twins when I was already 5 months along at 21-years-old. I was 27 when I had my first child, which was a "normal" delivery. My second child was born when I was 29 by emergency cesarean. I had a tubal two months later and have had difficulty ever since. I had a lap in October which showed possible fibroids, but probable adenomyosis. I have decided to have a hyst, but don't have a date yet. Anyway, I've had the same symptoms you describe, and I'm glad I've decided to have the surgery. Even though I probably have about 6 or 8 weeks before going, I think making the decision in the first place was a big step.
That's what you have to keep in mind; I know it's scary and you're anxious, but the closer it gets, the closer you are to recovery and hopefully no more pain.
Since it is so close to your date, you may want to call the doc and see if he/she can give you something for anxiety. I'm sure they want you to be as comfortable as possible.
Good luck to you. I will keep you in my thoughts and ers.
Let us know how things went when you return.
