7 weeks post hysterectomy: Steri Srips are my new best friend

Im going into my 7th week PO and I swear I have no luck 2 of my incisions don't want to stay closed ..and my bellybutton incision one of the scabs flew off and the other ones stuck there and painful if I touch it... So I am praying it just falls off on its own and doesn't open like the incisions on both sides of stomach ..after them reopening my sister told me to put steri strips on them and within 7 days the first one was fully closed.. then I decided I was up for a few hour ride and I think the seatbelt rubbed and opened the other side one so again I tossed steri strips on it I will let it fall off on its own but they do work... I had enough of the wounds they should be healed after 7 weeks.. I hate the fact that at 43 I have a hard time healing I guess that's why I got told I cant do anything for 3 full months... cant wait for this to be over......

Steri-strips are a life saver!! I have a huge box in my cabinet.

Happy you discovered them and you're on the way to complete healing. Rest is the most crucial part of recovery .

Take care!!
