Totally scared

Ok girls, here goes and I know you might laugh but beleive me I am going nuts.
I am having a total hysterectomy in 4 weeks, the date is yet to be confirmed.
I want to know what about orgasms as I have multiple ones and will they stop, will my vagina be like a big empty bucket? with my partner not feeling anything when inside me? Will he feel me having an orgasm and do you still produce the same amount of fluid if you know what I mean?
Will I go off the rails and be psychotic? Further more they are putting in an HRT implant at the time of the operation, will I become massively hugely fat!?
Please please help me as I am going out of my mind with worry.

Welcome - I'm glad you found Hystersisters. It's perfectly normal to be worried about what's going to happen and how you will feel afterwards. A hysterectomy is major surgery. You've come to the best place to learn all about it and to talk to women who are going through some of the same emotions as you.

I am not familiar with an HRT implant, so can't answer your question about that, but can reassure you that once I was healed, there is no difference in how either I or my DH feel when making love.

There were a few but this was one that talked in depth about it..
I would have to agree with Karen on the sex issues. Once healed and hormones adjusted out, all has been well. Dh said he cannot tell a difference at all except that it might be alittle shorter or tighter were his words . Try not to worry and do all the reading you can. I think you will find that the majority of women once things get healed and hormones are situated do just fine with orgasms and lubrication. There are some that do not though and that is always something to keep in mind and discuss with your doc so that you have a clear picture.
