bathing

Its been 5 days since my surgery and I was going over paperwork today and it said not to take a bath until my 4 week appointment the only thing they said to me in the hospital was to not get my incisions wet for 72 hours is just wondering if anybody took a bath or just stuck to showers.

You can shower but not bathe throughout your recovery. Bathing would put you at risk for infection. You need to wait until your doctor clears you for baths.

No bathing for 6 weeks. The hardest part...

I waited for my doctor to clear me, and he cleared me for baths at 2 weeks. I was told no hot tubs or public pools, but he allowed me baths. I think that my doc was a little different than most regarding that issue. You should wait until the 4 week point if that is what your doctor instructs. You'll make it!
