Re: what do I need?

I have a shower chair from a previous surgery. It helps when you first get home to have one and when you want to shave your legs it sure is easier.

Re: what do I need?

Well you certainly have a lot on your plate! I second the idea of hiring a teenager to help you during week two. Someone to be the gopher, who will be there in case of emergency. Some ladies bounce right back from this surgery, others take a long time to recover.

Someone suggested a walker and it reminded me that my mother left me her cane when she left. I loved having it! I was a little unsteady on my feet and it really made me feel safer, especially when walking on uneven ground or getting in and out of shower. If you have it with you on the plane, maybe you'll get better treatment! Don't forget to stay hydrated during that plane ride. Best wishes for your whole family.
