New symptoms 6 wks post op

I have returned to work part time after 4 weeks post op. I am in week 6 and things are not getting better. This week really bad headaches and today some burning sensations and pressure in my chest along with mild cramping. Next week I am to return to full time work.

Today is my birthday and I feel so bad, I can't do anything but lay here. I thought I would be feeling a lot better by now. I still have problems with nausea and have been given the motion sickness patches to wear, since they seem to work, but it's not doing anything for the sick feeling I have in my stomach.

Thinking about taking off tomorrow, not sure how that will work with my short term disability and me working part time. I'm curious to know if anyone shares any of what I am experiencing.

I'm so sorry you're not feeling better. It seems like it's a slower healing process for some of us, with some weird issues cropping up along the way. The doctor made it seem like I'd be back to normal by the second week, but I'm nowhere near that even now. Maybe you should give your doctor a call about the headaches and nausea, especially if they're not getting better. Is there any chance that your doctor could say you can only do part time for a week or two more? Sending hugs and best wishes for your birthday!
