I was hoping that things would be a lot better for me physically and emotionally at this stage you know almost back to normal. I have been trying to keep up with my walking and thought I'd up the intensity to include a few hills, then toped it off with a few (10!) pushups, situps and squats. Well I was in a little bit of pain last night so I guess thats overdoing it! Im getting so impatient with lack of higher impact excercise! Also find that Im still tired a lot of the time still. I guess I still have to play the waiting game a little longer
Also just dont have the time or patients for the kids, now that hubby has gone back to work for long hours.....

Just try to take it easy. I was thinking just today how hard its going to be to adjust to reality again. The kids, work, etc........
Its hard, but we are strong and we can do it. Just think NO MORE PAIN!!! Take a deep breath and walk away when things get to rough, even if you have to pretend to be going to the bathroom. The deep breathing really does help you relax and address the situation much better. I hope things improve for you!!!!Hugs

These holiday weeks off from school are going to be trying, aren't they? Luckily, mine are teens and pretty much auto pilot. I don't know what I'd do if mine were younger- it would be much harder. A friend of mine called me today, who is 2 yrs post op, and she told me it took her 1 and 1/2 years to feel like her old self. She said minimally, you feel best 1 yr later. So, give yourself a break. This stuff takes time.
