Changes

My name is Kristina. I am 29 and had my hysterectomy (with overies in) last July. I had my last baby in March 06 and just had cronic abdominal pain and bleeding. They tried me on different meds to reduce or stop the bleeding but the pain was still there. Since my surgery I have had no big complications. The only complaint is odor. It is wicked embarrasing to even talk about it. It is not an anorbic smell. It is a simular odor from when I was pregnant. I will wash and wash and change my underwear and it doesnt matter 5 minutes later I will stink again. I know alot could be me smelling myself but I have never had a problem with it in the past. (other than when I was pregnant) Is this common? I have had tests done and there is no bv or yeast. I am not itchy or in pain. There is not a ton of discharge just as much as before. I feel like I am loosing my mind. I have been looking for this topic for ever and havent found anyone else experiencing it.

Bad odor post op

(((Kristina)))) I'm sorry you're dealing with this While I'm not dealing with this particular problem, I have a similar issue in that I tend to perspire a lot more than I used to and to smell it a lot more too. In my case, it's a matter of finding a deodorant that works and Degree seems to be the only one that works for me. That was not a problem before my surgery, but I remember having similar issues while I was still nursing. And I agree that this is something both frustrating and embarassing.

Another thing I remember, is that during the first year post-op I still had a yellowish/brownish discharge: it was just slow-healing tissues. That discharge did have a pretty terrible stench. Thankfully, it eventually cleared

Just a few suggestions that may work: Have you tried using a different body wash or soap? Maybe using talcum would work? Have you tried using a pad, such as Carefree? Some brands are odor absorbant

Hopefully others will come along with insight.
