I am 2 weeks post open, and I cry at the drop of a hat, my feelings seems to be hurt easily. And that so isn't me.
1 days post op my best friend went home to find his dad had passed, so off hubby and I went to be with him.
Please tell me life returns to normal soon

Re: please tell me not the only one

Wow gal, you are dealing with a lot! No wonder you cry at the drop of a hat. I'm sure it will get better.

For me, the emotional change has not happened yet...but I just started getting hot flashes again 8 days post op, so I think I'm right behind you there.

Chin up! I will pray it gets better for you, and you have all of us gals here to help you through it! Hugs with a pillow in the middle.

Re: please tell me not the only one

This is normal and you are not alone in these feelings. Unfortunately this is a slow process for many of us. I think I stopped most of the crying about week 3-4. This was the same time I got sleeping tablets too which helped with the sanity. It can be a slow process but it DOES get better, hang in there

Re: please tell me not the only one

You are definitely not the only one. Your poor mind and body suffered extreme trauma, both physical and emotional. I know from my own experience, my emotions were all over place. This is to be expected for the first few weeks until we feel a bit more secure in our own skin. I kept feeling as if I was missing not just my uterus, but my soul... Luckily, my equilibrium and sanity returned after a lot of rest.

Don't give up hope. Just allow yourself time to heal. Those who love you realize what you are going through and will support you. We are all out own worse critics. Be kind to yourself. You deserve the best.

Sending you a gentle hug. We are all here for you.

Re: please tell me not the only one

Goodness that is a lot to deal with all at one time!! I completely understand (I lost a close uncle the day before my surgery), it is very hard to tell sometimes what exactly the random weepy moments are stemmed from!
Life will return to normal that much I DO know!
Like you, and many other women I have seen here, I too am not much of a crier, but sometimes it feels like now that the flood gates have opened I have no idea how to close them again! It can be highly frustrating!
I wish I had better advice to give you on how to navigate this but I am pretty new to it myself!
I wish you the best!! I know coming on here is very good for the heart...so many wonderful women in one spot is sure to make you smile
Get some rest!!

Re: please tell me not the only one

It happened to me also so bad the doc put me on Prozac n so far it's only made me angry, I called today to tell them n they said I need to wait till next week for them to do anything, I explained I yelled and cursed a man out at the store for just parking in front of us, she only laughed which made me mad, so you are not alone, but I would rather cry than yell at random people

Re: please tell me not the only one

Thanks y'all, I feel so much better, I thought I was loosing my mind.
Hubby understands to a point, but he can't understand me just looking at him bursting into tears. Then of course the surgery and what's been removed, ....ohhh the list goes on and on

Re: please tell me not the only one

thank you for the link, it helped explain some of what I am going thro.

I dont have anyone to talk to about any of this, all my friends are male, and the only thing they keep asking is how soon we can go shooting again.
