Please, please, please be very careful about taking any drugs without talking to your doctor, even Tylenol!!!!!! There can be interactions with certain narcotics and such that can cause some serious problems. Check with him/her and make sure they know about the stomach issue and ask about doing just Tylenol or something else before just switching yourself over or adding something!!!

For pain relief on the really sore areas, it is hit and miss. Some women swear by ice (I did use it a lot in my vaginal and rectal areas) and some swear by heat which is what I have used every time on my abdomen. I have had a heating pad on my tummy most of the time since my surgery but have started using it less and less this week. Everyone is different.

I would also try warm/hot showers as you can tolerate them and believe it or not, much as you probably don't want to, walk..... Your body needs the circulation right now.

Hope things get better soon.
hugs

Yes, please be careful mixing Tylenol with any meds, especially narcotics. My mother thought that Tylenol was 100% safe because it was sold over the counter. Unknown to me she began purchasing the 8hr strength Tylenol for her severe arthritis pain. Taking that in conjunction with her pain medication proved to be a lethal mixture. My wonderful mother overdosed and died last year; the level of Tylenol in her system was phenominal. Please, please be careful.

I used tylenol and ibuprofen. The dr said it was ok. I also used ice and my tummy, the skin itself was very sore for several weeks. You should look into the checkpoints. Those will give you good information. You are supposed to lay around for the first 4 weeks. Hang in there You are ok.

Thanks for all the responses. I think it was a matter of time. The pain has not completely gone away, but I am able to do without pain medication for the past two days. Before that I took the same tablet (ibuprofen+paracetamol), in half the dose, after meals, followed by an antacid.
