Hysterectomy in 2 days (8/19)

I am so nervous I was not able to sleep at all last night and have to go to work this morning at 5am. I hope i will relax and get some sleep tonight. My last day at work is Tuesday and surgery scheduled for wednesday then taking 4 weeks off of work.

You can do this! I know how nervous you must be - I was in your exact shoes just 11 weeks ago. I also had a hard time sleeping those days leading up to surgery but the good things is, you'll be totally resting for the next few weeks so don't stress yourself out too much because you can't sleep. It is frustrating though! Don't forget to join the recovery forum this week to keep us posted on your progress and ask questions. The days just before surgery can be very stressful. Your feelings are very normal. As our SS sisters said, try to pamper yourself before your surgery - whatever will not violate your doctor's instructions. Maybe some or a or with friends.

I am right their with you. I'm having a total laparoscopic hysterectomy on the 21st only a few short days away. I haven't been sleeping well. As long as I stay busy the nerves don't get to me. But when it's quiet and my child is in bed I start to freak out. I will check on you in the recovery section.
