just a few more hours

Okay I am ready. NOT. I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am tomorrow morning. It sure is scary. I already know I am having everything removed. I also cannot take any HRT. I had breast cancer 7 years ago and did the genetic testing thing. I have the dreaded cancer gene. Saw my oncologist yesterday and he wants me to have both of my breasts removed as well. I am not feeling very " womanly" right now. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Dear Iretha.... I am so sorry you are going through this. My thoughts & prayers will be with you tomorrow. I'm sure your surgery will go just fine. Be sure to rest and let yourself heal properly so you can get strong again. We'll all be thinking about you tomorrow!

I don't think any of us are ever 100 percent ready, the night before surgery. A million thoughts, right?

I too am sorry to hear that you are going through so much right now. Getting this done will improve your life, in that at the very least, you won't have to worry about Auntie Flo anymore. Priceless!

As far as not being able to take HRT Post Op. I would wholeheartedly suggest that you check out the "No Hormone Jungle" here at Hystersisters. What a great group of Sisters with lots of answers. You can get lots of info. in that Forum, for sure.

Take care, drink lots of fluids, take short walks and as much as you can - for a rapid and healthy recovery.
