Scared Sick

First of all, Hyster Sisters has to be the very best sight ever! By reading the post you can see how many people are helped daily and it is amazing!! Well, my big day is suppose to be tomorrow-Tuesday-April 13th. I had to go to my regular Dr. last week with bronchitis-received 2 shots & 5 different meds. Have to go back today to see how my lungs are. If cleared will proceed with the pre-op around 1 O'clock. Even though I am scared about this surgery, I hope I do not have to postpone. I am working part of a day today but probably will not accomplish anything. I am worried about everything from the IV to the recovery at home. I am having a LAVH and know my life will be much better afterwards. I was also wondering how bad is the pain afterwards. I have two children-both c-sections. Well, thanks

Isn't this the Best place to be when you feel like rambling? How nice to know that you won't be judged and no one here thinks any question is dumb.These gals really saw me thru (still are) my ups and downs.I would hate to see all my posts end to end.Am sure they would reflect the rollercoaster of feelings we all go thru. LOL

Well, its a go for tomorrow and the LAVH. Bronchitis has cleared and regular dr. and anstesialogist(spelling is not right) agree to go ahead. So I will be at the hospital at 6:30 a.m. & surgery will begin at 7:30 a.m. as I am lucky number one!!! That's one good thing, no waiting around much tomorrow. I did really well with the blood work today (I hate needles even more than most)! Now I need to get through the IV in the morning!! Then will probably go home on Wednesday afternoon-nothing like a drive thru hysterectomy!!!! I will say a prayer for all the sisters scheduled for tomorrow as well as in the future & those recovering. Tah for now!!!

Glad to hear that your bronchitis is cleared up so that you can get to the other side without any postponements. All of us LIW are envious and knowing you are on your way to recovery! Good luck and best wishes for a quick and speedy recovery and a painfree life again!!!!

We're all rutting for you!!! I think at this point, try and put all of your surgery fears behind you, and focus more on how it will all be over with and your recovery. That's what I'm trying to do. My surgery was Supposed to be tomorrow (13th) as well, but I got bumped back til' Wed. 14th. (but I'm gonna be first surgery) Let us know how you're doing. I'm having a LAVH w/BSO as well. I know I'll be reading. I've been pretty calm today, until about 1 hour ago. But, we'll both be o.k. Actually better, when we come home. Has your Dr. told you what kind of pain med's your gonna be on in the castle? I forgot to ask my Dr. and my newest fear is that I'll be undermedicated. Praying for you, Shannon
