New here.... very confused and ready to give up !

Hello everyone ! This is my first time posting, but I have been reading for a few weeks. I guess I should start out with a brief history of myself...

I am 31, I have had 4 laps since the age of 18 (last friday being the most recent). I have had laser surgery, freezing, biopsys, you name it. In Sept/2000 I had my right ovary and tube removed due to a football sized tumor in my ovary. For about the past year I have had very bad pains in my left side and lower back. I had several tests to check for kidney stones, UTI's... but they all came back normal. I went to my gyn and he did an ultrasound. He said the ultrasound was normal, just a few cysts on my left ovary, but nothing to worry about. So then he scheduled a lap. He wanted to look for scar tissue. I had my lap done 5 days ago. He told my husband that everything on the left side was really tight and compact but he didnt know why. He said maybe I should get my bowels checked. He did not see any endo or scaring !!! My periods are horrible... dont bleed much, just lots of pain. Feels like I'm giving birth ! He says he will talk to my about a hyster at our next visit. I'm scared to death. I want the pain to stop, but what if the hyster does not help. What if I have it done and that is not the problem. I have been sick for as long as I can remember and I just want it to stop !!! I am having a real tough time with this lap also. I dont remember hurting like this before. I am swollen and very bruised. I am having some discharge now, that was not there before the lap. Anyone experience anything bad after a lap?

Thanks for listening...

Yes, I did after one of 6 laps. It was a bladder infection due to the antibiotics. I drank lots of water and cranberry juice. Call your doctor though he may feel it could be something else or may want you to come in for a re-check.

Take care.

I had horrible pain with my periods before I got on BC pills at age 15. With my first delivery at age 24, I had back labor and it was so very similar to the pain I had with my periods. That was an opener! No wonder why I couldn't go to school when I got my periods. BC pills really helped get rid of that and kept my periods to one week a month. The last few years the pill hasn't been able to control the bleeding anymore and that's why I had a hysterectomy. I'm 37 now and done mutiplying.
Isn't it terrible that so many women have such incredible pain each month. I had a TAH and there was nothing inside causing my pain. I was able to keep my ovaries. I just bled too much.
I'm already telling my 7 year old daughter that girls need to be tuff because they have to go through alot of pain when they get older. I hope she takes after my MIL, with her little 3 day periods.
Have you ever tried BC pills?
Now, I'm not getting the pain radiating down my leg after sex or during my monthly ( bi-monthly for me). No more cramps, backaches, migraines, PMS, or that everflowing supply blood.
Good luck with your decision. I knew this was for me and I was right.

i know the feeling

Hi. My name is Lisa i am 36 years old..my trouble started about 7 years ago. i had too have some major surgery on my bowels..I had diverticular (an old peoples problem) when you have pockets in your colon...anyway. i was having trouble going too the bathroom and in pain 100% of the time. they checked me from everything from a tubular preg. too being full of poop.. well the long and short of it was this diverticular stuff... i had too have major surgery taking out 2 feet of intestine and a mass the size of a football that had smached my colon.. leaving me with a colostame (poop bag) for 6 months and that was when i was just 30 years old. I did how ever get it put back too normal and now go like everyone eles . then about 2 years ago i had a hernia on that left side. got that fixed and ever since that have been having trouble with my left overy every other month on that side i want too die.. and i bleed like no one (but us) can understand..i went through 2 pks. of overnight pads in 2 days..well i have had a few altro sounds and they show a cyst on that left overy i had a D&C on April 20th in hopes that would fix it but on my follow up altrosound it shows that its back and at a different size and shape .. my dr says time too get it out along with my uterus and maybe my right overy depending on what it looks like when he gets inside and this will all take place on June 5th. Part of me is so ready for this and part of me is like ok.. when i wake up it better be done right!! he did say i have a 1% chance that my uterus will be left in.. god i hope not.. not at this point!!! I just want it done and i dont want them too have too go back in ever ever again.....I cant take the pain and the bleeding is out of control...I would follow up and make sure that your pain is female ...dont stop till you find out whats going on in your body!! If i didnt i wouldnt be here too watch my kids grow up and that too me is the scarriest thought of all...

take care and let me know...

i have ayahoo screen name
