One Month Today
Today marks exactly a month since my vaginal hyst. As I took a walk tonight, I noticed the full moon and realized that, if my uterus was still here, I would probably be starting my period.
I don't miss having periods -- not by a long shot -- but I wonder if the body goes through some type of adjustment at the time when the period would have taken place. I got tired today and had a bit of chills like I used to, plus a huge urge for chocolate. (I always like chocolate, but used to go nuts for it just before periods.) Do some parts of the body somehow remember what used to happen when it was on a monthly cycle? I'm curious to hear others' experiences. Aunt May

One Month Today
Hi,
Today was my one month anniversary too. Didn't do much to celebrate but go to the doc. Everything seems to be healing good. I don't believe my ovaries have kicked in yet. I don't feel like I am PMSing. I have been waiting for my hormones to return to normal. Congrats to you. It must be a relief to feel like the ovaries are functioning.

You still have your ovaries and I would think it's homone related. It's amazing to me that so many women know when they should have had a period. I guess I just had them whenever they felt like showing up ( too often). Don't miss them a bit either.
Teeny, tiny cups made of chocolate filled with Bailey's Irish Cream and topped with whipped cream that cost $5 bucks a shot is the best kind of chocolate.

I could have used one of those teeny, tiny cups of chocolate with Baileys last night, but since I'm still on an anti-inflammatory, I'm staying away from all alcohol for now. I was really grouchy like PMS last night too. Wonder if this will continue? Something needs to click in to tell my body the uterus has taken a hike and is no longer around for periods anymore. Guess that will happen in time. Aunt May

Unfortunately, if you still have your ovaries you can still get PMS. My DR told me to expect it even without a uterus. Having gone off BC pills with my surgery, my body hasn't figured out how to have PMS on its own yet. That's fine by me.
