ugh!! hernia

Hi Ladies,
I never thought that I would be posting on this forum as I had such an easy, uncomplicated recovery from my LSH in January. But a week or so ago, I had a coughing fit and had pain in my side and a bulge pop out. Saw my regular doc and got a referral to a surgeon and went to see him Tuesday. Anyway, it seems that I have developed an incisional (actually, it is called a 'trocar', since it was laporoscopic) hernia. Last week I had an EMG for numbness and pain in my hands and the left one is severe for carpel tunnel syndrome. Saw a surgeon for that also and need to have a carpel tunnel release. So, the 2 surgeons are going to try and co-ordinate their schedules so that I can have both surgeries at the same time, which sounds like a good plan to me. That way I won't miss as much work.

Take care, everyone!

Eileen

ugh!! hernia

I am so sorry that you are facing more surgery.

I am still recovering from surgery for an umbilical hernia. It just amazes me that just when you think your all better, BOOM!!!! Something else hits you. I am also having a coordinated surgery with my Urologist and General Surgeon at the same time. I too want it all done at once and get it over with.

Just wanted to send a HUG your way and I will keep you in my prayers..
