Was on Lupron pre-op, how long to get out of my system?

I received Lupron injections 2 months and then 1 month before my TAH, and now close to 6 weeks since my last injection I still have the hot flashes and night sweats. My surgery was 11 days ago and I pray it's not also a surgical menopause(I kept my ovaries). Anyone have any experience with Lupron and it's lasting effects once discontinued?

Hi there. I was on Lupron for 6 months last year. It took about 3 months before I got my period back. the rest of the symptoms (hot flashes, thinning hair, sleep disorder, incontinience, memory loss, etv etc ) kind of petered away gradually after my last shot.
by the time 3 months had rolled around everything was back to "normal" - heavy periods, irregular bleeding and cramps!
You can't win for losin'! Just had my hyst 30 Apr 03 and am looking forward to feeling better. Hope you feel better too!
