6wks pain and bleeding now???????

Ok I am going to duck now so no one throws anything at me.....

But yesterday I picked up my 2yr old when she got up from her nap. I carried her down stairs. She weighs 30 lbs.

I felt sore the rest of the day, even though there were no jabbing pains at that moment I picked her up. I just felt an over all soreness. But I kept getting sharp pains on and off through out the rest of the day. Just not when I picked her up. I didnt pick her up again. But did continue on with some light housework and laundry. No lifting of anything else though.

Today again, on and off sharp pains but I went to the bathroom and to my surprise I was bleeding. So far about 2 to 3 teaspoons. And still just sore.

So should I just keep an eye on it or give my doc a call???? Wait a few days see if it goes away????

I mean can I really hurt myself bad enough at 6 wks to bleed???

6wks pain and bleeding now???????

Hi Bernie,

Yes, you can still hurt yourself at 6 weeks. I think I would give the doc a call to let him know what happened.

No, I'm not going to yell at you. I think you know that you did a little too much even at 6 weeks. You need the list of things that you can do and what you can't do. I hope someone sends it to you.

I hope nothing is really wrong - could be a couple of inside stiches inside you broke. Remember, I'm not a medical doc, so please call yours.

Send you a big

Patty

6wks pain and bleeding now???????

Hi-
I know your feelings! Just when you are doing so well, now this. I fell down the stairs at 3 1/2 weeks post op, woke to flood of bright red blood. I would call doc. What they will want to know is how much blood? My doc wanted to know how long to fill a pad, one hour, never fill, etc. I ended up going in to have some tissue cauterized and the bleeding stopped after two weeks. You might need to have the doc do that withe silver nitrate, they just do it in the office, honestly no real pain, just weird twingy feeling. I am glad I got the cauterizing because it would not have stopped on it's own. It is worth the phone calll just to be sure.
Good luck to you!
