Warm flashes???!!!!
 ladies...
I have a question. I had my surgery on the 5th. They put a patch on me and it fell off 3 days later. I just started my premarin .625 yesterday, because I was getting really grouchy, and developed a headache. Last night, while sitting at the computer, I thought I had a hot flash...but it didn't make me hot...just warm all over my body. Is this how it starts? Or maybe I'll just have warm flashes instead of hot? Ever heard of this?
Thanks, Ladies

Warm flashes???!!!!
yes, that was a bit of a hot flash, which may get better or worse. unfortunately, hrt adjustments really can't be made accurately until about 6 weeks after surgery. your body is using up your hormone reserves and will bounce around for while longer. hang in there, it doesn't last too long.

Warm flashes???!!!!
 Rory,
Sounds like a hot flash to me. Mine usually start out with a feeling of warmth over my whole body than I usually break out in a sweat.
My dh can now tell when one is coming on. He says that my whole body radiates. He'll grab my hand and say "oh oh".
You may experience more of these as your body adjusts from the surgery. Your body has stored of reserves and it may take 6-8 weeks for those stores to be used up. Hot flashes can be a sign of a fluctuation in your levels, not necessarily always a sign of a lack of estrogen. I wouldn't jump to do any changing this early in your recovery due to hot flashes.

Hot Flashes/patch coming off
Hi, I defin. am exp. WARM flashes at times & some sweating at night . This week has been particularily bad I have gone through 4 patches I'm very careful how I put them on & don't understand why theses things won't stay on . I'm thinking the constant adjustment of replacing them might have some effect. At times I do feel alittle moody & down , it is reminiscent of how I use to feel a day or two before my menstrual cycle. I guess I wasn't really expecting this but there turned out to be alot of unexpected things I felt & went through my Dr. never informed me to expect; once again thank God for this web site & all the woman who support & share here or I would be completly lost !!! I am at a loss as to what to do about these patches ;right now my ins. covers them but I would be upset if I was paying out right for them 'which I might have to be doing at some point considering how long we have to be on them ; which by the way how long ??? forever ??? Does any one know ?Thanks for listening
