Surgery date cancelled !!!

I was scheduled for a LAVH on June 3rd. I received a call from my DR office this afternoon. They informed me that my surgery date had been moved to JUNE 24th!! I was told that the hospital did not have anyone scheduled that day to assist with the surgery . Apparently it takes two pairs of hands to do the procedure! Then my DR will be out of town for two weeks! And that June 24th was the first day available after he was back into town. I am so angry :burning: frustrated, sad disappointed and so on.......

It has also been 6 weeks since my last Lupron injection. Not that they did me much good anyway! I have been having terrible cramps too! I was so ready to do this and get it over with. Now I am going to go through all of that stress all over again.

Although I realize that nothing I can say will make it all better, I am glad that you were able to vent. Keep on venting whenever you need to. My motto is "Things don't always work out the way you want to, but somehow they always work out for the best." We often don't know that in the short-run though. Good Luck to you.

Go ahead and vent all you want, that would be disappointing to anyone. Let us listen when you need to vent again and keep us posted on your progress when you finally come home from the castle.

I was scheduled for surgery on May 1 and was rescheduled for June 19!!! And I was on the gurney in pre-op when it happened. Stupid me, I decided to shave the incision area. Well I ended up with a slight skin irritation and they wouldn't operate. Risky for infection setting in.

I feel your frustration. That first week I think I walked in a state of denial. Now what should have been the end of my recovery will be my surgery date. This time I'm taking a couple of days off before the surgery. I didn't realize I was feeling that much anxiety and worked until the day before. Hang in there! We always say time flies - so let it fly.

I just want to say thanks to all of your replys. I will be here alot from now until surgery date. It's nice to know I am not the only one to have gone through this. Thanks again :.)
