When you are cleared for sex, what happens? If it's only 6 weeks post op, will there be pain?

sex after hyster

I was cleared at 6 weeks to resume relations with my DH, but I didn't feel ready yet and so we waited. It was almost 9 weeks post op before we tried. It wasn't great, but it didn't hurt. The first time was sort of an experiment to see if it hurt and if everything seemed to work. Once we got past that first time, each time after that got better. We're now back to where we were before surgery. Just don't expect too much the first time. I was nervous and so was he.

I'm six weeks too.

Hi. I went for my six week check yesterday, and was cleared for everything.

I would say that I am still a little too tender to try it again for a day or two. DH was slow and patient, but I needed to stretch more than I was able. It didn't really hurt , it was just soooo sensitive inside.

My dr told me that I would likely be tender for a while. I had a lot of repair work done, and even though it has healed well, it still is "undiscovered territory". (Can you say "wedding night")

I had a bit of pain the first time I had sex after. I also had bleeding. I think he was just in too far. I still have very light spotting at times. I never called the doc or anything, not too sure if it is normal or not. But I would jsut take it VERY easy the first time for you. Take care.
Much Love
