Swelly Belly at 10 months post-op?

Hi Girls,

I wondered if this is usual or if somethings wrong with me? I had my surgery July, 2002 and went through the same kinds of recovery issues that we see here. But I have noticed something, now that the weather has turned warm I have started wearing dresses or skirts to work instead of pants. I notice that I am having swelly belly again. I thought I was past it. I am very swollen tonight, looking like I'm 6 months pregnant. I am also sore, feeling that pinching and heaviness that I used to feel.. Do you think that the swelly belly never went away, just didn't notice it cause my pants held me in and dresses don't, or has something changed? Can anyone tell me how long they've had the swelly belly look?

Hi Josie!

I think it would be a good idea to give your doctor a call and let them now about the swelling and discomfort. If you have become considerably bloated your doctor needs to determine what is causing it. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
