spotting at 7 months??

I'm 7 months post-op tomorrow. I've been suffering from a yeast infection caused by taking antibiotics for a sinus infection.

I started using otc monistat last night, when I inserted the tube, it
was very painful, I heard a popping sound and when I pulled out the tube, there was blood on it. I spotted only for a little bit.

I have been suffering from extreme vaginal dryness since about a month after my hysterectomy, plus I think things are shrinking.

The popping sound is what really has me worried.

Any ideas??

Hi Dana--

I would call your doctor and let him/her know what you experienced.

Also, are you using any kind of HRT? Vaginal dryness/atrophy can be helped with estrogen creme.

Let us know what you find out!

I'm on Cenestin 1.25, haven't had any problems with it as long as I take it every other day instead of every day.

I'll call my doctor this morning.
