The Count Down
Well ladies it's less than two weeks. I'm ok if I don't think about it, if I do I feel sick and panic. Help me figure out what to do to help me during recovery, please.
I've got my room nice and pretty, flowers on my patio, bird feeders outside window. Photos in boxes to organize, plan to plan fall garden, bought some movies, thank you cards, comfy jammies and clothes, list of foods I'd like on hand. Grandparents coming for most of summer to care of munchkins and make sure they have a good summer(both sets were due to visit they just arranged arround this).I've had a lot of nervous energy can you tell?
Can anyone offer ideas on important things, small things, comfy things I've missed? Last operation (removal of large cyst/ clean out of stage 4 endo) I was in bed for 3 weeks in serious pain, 2 weeks of up till noon then back to bed and two more weeks of slow gear. Doc said this would be harder due to having to resect bowel and maybe bladder along with TAH.
Thanks in advance girls.

Hey Slow Down!
I am going in tomorrow and I don't have as much prep as you, I tried yesterday but I am paying today but I will do some more later.
It is good to keep your mind occupied and you seem to have lots of help so be a good HS and take good care of yourself.
I am off now to put nice flowers on the balcony outside my bedroom waht a nice idea, forget the bird feeders though, I live iin the country in Ireland and they make so much noise they act as an alarm clock.
Take good care,
Marie

I found that books on tape or CD were just great for relaxing and listening too in the first few weeks, try your local library.
I also made sure I had lavender essential (must be the real stuff) oil for burning or just putting a few drops on a flannel or washer to sponge myself down with, very relaxing. My friends were great bringing meals around, so I really could be a Princess. I also felt good by doing some very simple stretches and movements, sometimes just wiggling my fingers and toes, made me feel good. There is a gentle exercise page somewhere on this site. Good luck!
