upset and dh doesnt understand?

i am 5 weeks , had my uterus out year and a half ago and now 5 weeks had my ovaries and adhesions out. i have checked back with the dr. and will go back in next week for my 6 wk. he actually told me that i could go to my sons ball game 2 days after surgery. now i was in bed for about 12 days feeling quite guilty. i was doing quite well and now resuming regular house duties. but when im doing things i definitley start cramping and have pressure. from what i have read this sounds normal. i am so upset as to why my dr. wouldnt say any of that, so we resumed sex 3 weeks ago and then started a little spotting and cramping, dr. said he wasnt worried. needless to say my husband has had it with me and now my boys are home from school. how am i suppose to take it easy? my emotions are much better though. is there anyone i can email with that has had a positive outcome, I REALLY DO NEED TO HEAR THAT.

Hi there!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I am hoping that you can toss aside anyone else's perception of what you 'should' be able to do or feel at this point. Only you and your body know the reality of it, and it matters not if anyone else does not choose to understand.

We have a responsibility to ourselves and to our healing bodies. We have choices, and we can either do and feel what others expect, or we can listen to our healing body and do what we know is best for it, regardless of others around us. In my opinion, it's not worth hurting yourself over the expectations of others. They have a choice, too; they can either understand or choose not to understand, but that should have no bearing on the priority you place on your healing body.

This is a time to make everything all about you, regardless. Listen to your body first and foremost, sweetie.
