no Discharge since surgery

I had a supra-cervical total Thursday June 5. Surgery took 4 hours due to lots of adhesions but Doc persisted and didn't do an incision.

Discharged after only 24 hours - minimal pain - am walking lots and being a good princess.

I have been surprised that I have not had any discharge after the first 24 hours. Is that normal?

Tried to stop taking the Lortab today - not ready! Had to go back on them. Only have had 2 today so far though.

This site has been so helpful - my recovery is going so well an know it is because of all the advice and hlep I have gotten by reading prior posts. My doctor didn't really give alot of details and I need them to function well.

God bless you one and all!

no discharge

I don't know if it's normal or not to have no discharge after 24 hours but I'm in the same boat you are (and liking it). They put one pad on me in surgery and then.....nothing! I'm four 1\2 weeks post so I assume I won't now. Maybe we bled enough already and deserve for it to be over, you think?

7 months post-op no discharge

Hi sunflowerbeanie
I had a LSH 7 months ago and never had any discharge. My dr did tell me before surgery that though I might not bleed right away, I could possibly start to bleed several weeks after my surgery - I waited - never did even spot!
Hope your experience will be as pleasant. Best wishes on your recovery - take good care of yourself right now so you heal yourself into a healthy future!

no Discharge since surgery

I had a SAH on 6/4. VERY minimal pink staining, occasionally but nothing else. The nurses and the doctor thought this was a good thing.

None for me neither. . . .

I had no discharge or spotting with my SAH, either. Just a little spotting the day after surgery. I was wondering if the SAH had something to do with it. I've read many posts here concerning the "cuff" with totals, but I'm still wondering just how the doc's sew up a partial?

no Discharge since surgery

I also had a SAH/BSO. Never saw a drop of blood. I was also wondering if that is okay. I asked my dr. and she said that was fine. I was so glad not to see any blood because that would really freak me out. I guess we are lucky.

no Discharge since surgery

Hi Ladies,

Yes, I'm wondering if it is the SAH too, since I had no bleeding at all after the hyst. Interesting, hope someone can give us an idea if it is due to having a supracervical hyst.

No discharge

I'm almost 10 weeks post TAH and I've never had any discharge at all. In fact, I've never passed a stitch that everone was talking about.

no Discharge since surgery

I am also 10 weeks post TAH and never had discharge or saw those stitches that I was warned about. I bleed the 2 days after surgery but I think that was cause I was having my LAST period the day I went for surgery. I even went out and bought pads for the discharge. I guess I will take them to work and leave them in the womens bathroom for those poor women still having their periods.
