Through the Land of Hyster book

I received my princess package two days ago, I can't wait until I get to wear the crown! I started to read Through the Land of Hyster today while waiting at a dr appt. It is a must have, its great! I couldn't put the book down, even though I am sick (major food poisoning) and they told me to lay down I kept reading! I finished everything up to the Punctured Princesses Post-op section. Am I supposed to read that too, or should I wait until I become a punctured princess? Just wanted some thoughts on this.
Thank you!

Hi Steph,

Oh, no - I hope you are feeling much better by now.

It's just my opinion, but I think I would have read ahead, if I had had the book before my surgery (I didn't even find HS until the night before my hyst, when I was too nervous to sleep). That way, I would have known what to expect during recovery.

You also might want to read our Pre-Op Hints (click here) and the Post-Op Hints (click here), which are also full of great advice that will help you be more prepared.

I'm glad you ordered the book and are enjoying it. Please let us know how you are doing.

Hi Steph

I feel for you having food poisoning - I've had that twice in my life and it was miserable. I pray that you are feeling better. It took me a couple of days to recover from each bout.

I'm glad you have the Hystersisters Book. I read it from cover to cover - even the post op section so I would have an idea of what to expect. It really helped me deal with everything!

Please explore the HS site and you'll find lots of great information is there for you. If you have more questions, please do post them and we will try to answer them for you - remember, no question is too silly

Sending you a big

Patty
