Friday the 13th of June

If any of you ladies are superstitious then dont walk under any ladders or cross the path of a black cat

Well another yucky day. I am so sick of the rain. I was really hoping to get the lawns done tonight yuck yuck yuck. My little dd is getting some new furniture tonight. The company is delivering it between 4 and 8 pm. What the heck is with that.

I am at work for 6 am but am leaving at 2 pm. I want to get some errands run before the girls get home from school. Hubby is leaving at 11 am this morning and will return for fathers day. We have a nice day planned at my moms trailer so that should be fun.

I have become a maniac. I love it. I am hoping to see some scale movement. After I get weighed at the end of June I will not weigh til September. I dont want to know if the scale goes up or down all summer. I am having surgery. I will eat as well as I can and exercise when I can as well. I am no longer going to worry about what the scale says. I am so happy with my new attitude. If I continue to workout and the scale does not move to much then I have come to realize that maybe I am meant to be what I am. But I am going to be so toned , that is more exciting than what the scale says.

Desk I love hearing you talk about yourself. I have no idea why we self sabatoge ourselves. I do that all the time. I gain and lose the same 5 pounds. It is very annoying. As long as you know what you are doing you wont gain it all back. I hope you have a super weekend with your friends. This Sunday will be off program for me to. Oh well.

Xena I am glad you were able to get some yard work done. Dont do some serious damage to your back though. I mean it. Take care of yourself.

Hello to the rest of you ladies as well.

Talk to you later

Hi gang --

Well seeing that it's Fri we'll be going out to dinner tonight and I will splurge a little. Tonight will be the true test I'm going to try to wear my "skinny" jeans -- let's see if I can still get into them!

Katie weather is grey and yucky here too I was thinking the same thing......I am SO sick of rain. Will go to the gym this morning and come home and finish that quilt whoo hooo cause for celebration in itself! I love reading that you have become a maniac. Love the new attitude!! YOU GO GIRL!!

Desk -- glad to hear Cory's ultrasound was negative!! I don't know why we sabatoge our selves either. Maybe just because we're human?!?!

I'll check back later....hope everyone has a great Fri!!

Morning Ann

Yes I love . I just wish I was seeing more physical benefits. I imagine by Christmas my body should be more toned. We shall see.

Yes the weather is blah. What the heck is going on? Not much we can do about it though.

Have fun at dinner tonight. I am hungry already and it is not even 8 am

Good luck with the quilt. I am heading to Curves at lunch.

Ta for now

Hi girls!

I haven't had a chance to read the posts much this week. I too have been ! It does become addictive. I've made it a priority and I feel so great. The inches are slowly coming off. I'm not being fanatical about the scale either; I have 2 closets full of close in sizes 10 and 12 that I'm going to fit into!

I'm doing well w/ water. I fill up my 72 oz cntainer and leave it on my desk. I freeze a small amount of water in it overnight, then fill it before I leave the house. It stays cold all day.

Food - I'm just not obsessing. I'm eating in moderation and limiting junk food. I'm trying to get my fruit and veggies in each day.

Exercise - I'm walking between 4 and 6 miles at least four days week. In between I do Denise Austin and other strength training.

Ann - you go girl - wearing your skinny jeans out to dinner!

Katie - We'll all sport the "Powerbabe" moniker pretty soon! Take care of yourself! Does your knee surgery have anything to do w/ your ACL?

Gotta run, BEST girls. Will try to check in again! Have a wonderful OP day.

Love ya,

Sherry

Morning

Sherry so you have the bug to. It is addictive. I am trying to eat well to. We shall see. I am pleased with things. I need to be better with the water. SO that will be my goal for next week.

No my knee is bad from osteoarthritis not the ACL.

Good morning everyone,

Rash or hives have not disappeared. Have an appt with the regular GP (couldn’t get into the dermatologist), but I’ve read there’s not much they can do about the condition. More rash today than yesterday—very itchy.

Ann—I’ve racked my brain trying to come up with the cause of this rash. The only thing I can figure is I ate something on Wednesday at the bridal shower that didn’t agree with me. If that was the case, it must have been a pretty potent allergen because I ate very small amounts of everything, but it was the next morning that I noticed the rash. Please take a picture of the quilt and post it later for us all to see—sounds so neat. Powerbabe in Skinny Jeans—a vision of loveliness!

Katie—I so love your attitude! I am hoping I can adopt that same attitude after I meet with my new doctor on Monday. I confess it’s kind of scary for me not to get on the scales, but getting on them often hasn’t worked particularly well .

Sherry—Awesome amount of exercise that you are doing!! It’s sure better to spend our free time exercising than watching TV or doing other mind-cluttering activities. Good idea on the water!

Desk—I am so glad Corey’s ultrasound came out fine. I know you will get back on track once you plan for it. In the mean time, enjoy your dog visitation weekend !

It is really warm here finally, but humid also and we’ve had the bad evening storms. Thankfully there have been downed trees, but not tremendous damage in our area as has been reported for further north.

Hope everyone has a great day despite any yucky weather!

Afternoon sisters-all!

And a gray day it is...actiually, if its going to be a gray day, I wish it would be a gentle, steady all day rain, rather than occassional showers...my gardens need a good gentle soaking - especially my transplants. I know - careful what you wish for.

Today is launching day for the three baby robins nesting in the deck rafters. There was a terrible commotion that scared the dog inside - I guess that was #1 leaving. #2 clumsily flapped out while I watched, landed in tall grass at the lawn edge & seemed petrified to move anywhere else. #3 /is in the nest yet - pampered, scared or parinoid??? So - you can see how exciting my day is so far!

The root canal is not done...yet. After an hour & a half I have a temporary filling. I have a "curvacious" root, according to the DMD. Not only a curve at the top, but "s" shaped enroute. I will go back in July to finish. She was very gentle & sensitive to my sqwinches re pain.

I must confess - I had a non- serving of ice cream last night and a chocolate donut. And we are going out to eat tonight - they serve wonderful mini-loaves of fresh baked bread (a-u-g-h) Its a greek restaurant, hope they have their chicken liver special, which somehow they create using wine and I don't know what else. Not low fat, but should be good iron-nutrition wise.

I am promising myself 2 things - one, I will go to curves this afternoon (I'm trying to make up excuses again!) and 2 - that I will focus on journaling next week to bump off (bombs away!) this 5 pounds that disappear than reapear. I should put a 5# can of lard on the kitchen counter for inspiration! (I remember my mom always used lard for her pie crusts, and some cookies too)

Oh - by the way...for inspiration for all us...this was out on WW webletter recently

"A diamond is a lump of coal that has coped with time and pressure."

That's us - diamonds in process (in a jello mold?)

have a great day

Good Gray Day Ladies! Yup, even here in the deep south we're having a gray and rainy day. Okay more like an occasional mini flood, but still. I WANT SUN! I WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT BEING TOO HOT N HUMID! (at least then I'm in the pool!)

Last two days have been OP all around. I'm feeling pretty good about that ... but am not giving myself permission to slide on anything.

Katie: It is so awesome to see how you've changed! You've got a great attitude and love the fact you are enjoying your workouts so much!! Others can probably see a bigger difference than youare noticing in the toning. Something about the angle we have to look at our own bodies. I'm sure it's happening!

Bliss: It's opa time! So did you get to Curves?

Shirley: Ugh, I hope you get relief from the hives. Don't discount something DH might have changed as well. I have had occasional problems even without changing products. THings do very slightly from batch to batch of product I'd reckon.

MizGH: SOunds like you are doing wonderfully! Keep up the great work!!

Ann: Enjoy your "splurge" nite! Kinda funny that you walked in on others talking about the lack of variety in the classes! Sounds like they heard ya all!

Desk: Hope you are doing better.

jello - hmmm that explains y jiggly parts!

Tonight DSw is going out to dinner with a friend. (how dare he intrude on MY date night with him!!) So last night was our dinner out. It's habit ok, I'm just not used to being home on a Friday night. This will give me the opportunity to do some sewing and straightening so we can have fun all weekend long!

To all: May you have a BEST evening!

Hi all

Well what a night. My little dds new dresser was delivered at 7:35 pm on a Friday night so we were stuck in the house waiting for it. They come to the front door go to the truck to get it and tell me it is to damaged that we cannot have it. What about Mon or Tuesday. OH I WAS HOPPING MAD then hubby made me angry. Our pool has been opened for ages and he has not lit the heater. I kept asking, telling, bugging asking and nagging him to check it out. He is away til Sunday and tomorrow is to be hot and sunny and the girls are having friends over for the night. Well he goes to start it and it wont. HELLLOOOOOOOOOO. So now a repair man is coming at 7:30 did you hear me 7:30 AM on Saturday morning. I have been up at 5 am all week and wanted or needed to sleep in tomorrow. OMG I was not happy. Other than that I am doing well eating well to so that is great.

Bobby I hope you enjoy your evening alone. I am alone alot with the chicks as hubby is a shift worker. Enjoy it. That is great you have been OP for 2 days. Thanks for the compliment I really appreciate it.

Bliss yikes on the root canal. No offence but better you than me hee hee. I had a good chuckle with your Robin story. How cute. I hear ya on losing and gaining the same 5 pounds it is very very annoying.

Shirly sorry about the hives. Do you think you could be allergic to some kind of food. Did you use a new cream or something. I hope you get better soon. I had to laugh about when getting on the scales that it has not really worked out. HOLY HOW TRUE IS THAT? Get better soon.

Okay I am off to bed for 9 pm since I am up early again tomorrow

Katie
