I had a TAH on 5/5/03. Out of the hospital 5/9. Back to work 6/9.

A semi-private room has it plusses.

I was glad to have a roomate, because she too understood the pain and the grief from a hysterectomy.

And at night, it was very comforting not to sleep in a hospital room alone.

It sounds like you are doing very well. I also had a roommate in the castle and enjoyed the company. My roommate understood too because she had the same surgery right after I did We had the same doctor!!!

I hope you have an uneventful rest of recovey!!! Remember it is a good few months before all the stitches are gone and your insides are healed.
