Saturday, June 21 - Summertime!!!!

A great big HELLO to everybody!

Too sleepy to write to all though I read everything. We are so lucky to have this group.

Well, turns out I'm going to the farm tomorrow morning. The animal shelter called dd to say they have a rooster there & wonder if she could take it to the farm. She'll be working so I'm going. Me, a couple of kids, and a rooster!
Right now it is in our garage.
We're really hoping it doesn't wake the neighbors up in the am as we have one really cranky guy who would call the police. Can ya just see us getting in trouble for keeping a rooster???
Here's hoping I don't get a flat on the way like dd did when she took the down.
I'm going to have to find a nearby farmer who'd take these stray fowl in the future...it's 200 miles each way to the farm!
I had to go anyway this time, to pick up the beef we bought so it's alright.
My life is so weird.

supper was SOOOOO good & fairly OP too! dh grows lettuce & he harvested today. our neighbor grows strawberries & he sent over a big bowl of just-picked berries. so we had salad with lots of fresh berries & pears that grandma on the farm canned.
Thin baguette slices with blue cheese on one, brie on another, and goat cheese with herbes de provence sprinkled on it on another. wine. it was soooo gooood.

BSQ, if you don't have Trader Joe's in Atlanta, you must miss it! I go there for cheeses & other things & it's always so great.

well, I've been up since 3:45 am & I'm bushed. Hope you all have a fun & OP Sunday!
